Savory Spice is a spice brand based in Colorado, with an online shop and retail franchises across the US. This rebrand and website reflect what Savory Spice represents today: crafted with care, inspired by connection, and designed for the next generation of flavor explorers.
The biggest challenge was designing a jar label for the modern kitchen. Finding and organizing spices in drawers and cabinet pull-outs was a real pain point for home chefs, so we set out to fix it. With more than 400 SKUs and an in-house label system that prints on templates and is applied manually, we had to get creative.
SMARTER DESIGN
An oil and waterproof substrate with a die-cut reveal window that showcases the top shelf spices inside, when it’s time to reorder, and doubles as a jar top label for easy identification in any spice drawer or shelf, bringing form and function together in a simple, thoughtful package.
BETTER DISCOVERY
An icon system that illustrates your flavor journey alongside stories, profiles, recipes, with at-a-glance ease. A fully re-engineered website by Progress Labs with an improved online experience that makes discovering, shopping, and cooking with flavor easier and more inspiring than ever.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
Plastic jar lids are replaced with recyclable aluminum, and refill bags are now custom made from recycled materials by Ecoenclose. A premium, elevated aesthetic that matches the quality of what you’ll find inside every jar.
